Requirements
Hardware requirements
No particular hardware are required when running our programs. Apart from BMP-Casio which requires a PC-Casio cable (see elsewhere for building one), sometimes an Internet connection may be useful, especially for WebHunter... And for eCross, a PalmPilot-compatible handheld computer would be appreciable (or any emulator).
Software requirements
While Java programs (Jext, Caffeine, WebHunter) run on most environments, and apart from eCross which runs on PalmPilots, other programs will need Microsoft Windows to run. Some of them may need the following files :
JRE -- Java Runtime Environment
Needed by: Jext, Caffeine, WebHunter.This Java virtual machine will allow you to run Java programs. It is available from http://java.sun.com, the official website for Java source. You can also download the JDK (which enables you to execute Java code, but also to compile it).Approximate size: 3 or 4mb, as far as I remember.
Visual Basic Runtime files
Needed by: SkinTris, Visual Sokoban, TDesktop, ConceptDesktop, BMP-Casio II, EZPage 2001, Omega 140.Since a few years, Microsoft guys promise us runtime-free Visual Basic programs. But... VB is still unable to make pure Windows programs. That way, you must have the following runtime libraries to run these programs. You can download them on the official Microsoft website (you'll be able to download them from here in the future).Approximate size: 1mb, but I'm not sure.
